Infinix Mobility recently decided to give some of its smartphones an Android 7.0 Nougat Update between the months of April and July this year. A list which stated the smartphones to benefit from the OS update was also conveyed to the public. Of the smartphones, the Infinix Hot 4 made the list, and it can now be confirmed that the Infinix Hot 4 has successfully been updated to run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The device now joins the three Infinix smartphones which have previously received the update.

The update adds exciting features to the Infinix Hot 4 such as split-screen mode which gives you the benefit of using separate applications side-by-side on your smartphone. With this, you could be streaming a video while texting a message to a friend simultaneously.

The update also sees the Hot 4 acquire new notification toggles and shortcuts and battery optimisations. How To Get Android 7.0 Nougat Update On Your Infinix Hot 4

Updating to the Android 7.0 Nougat OS is done over the air (OTA) and you simply need to go through the Software Update Settings on your Hot S. You might just want to stay connected to a Wi-fi connection throughout the download process but if you rather trust network operators, then, good for you!!

In addition, Infinix Mobility has decided to make updating your device to the Nougat OS stress-free, thereby releasing the Infinix Phone Update App which is aimed at making download and installation of Infinix software update packages easier and faster. To know more about the app, click here.

With this update, the Hot 4 (with its higher variant, the Hot 4 Pro) joins the Zero 4, Zero 4 Plus, Note 3, Note 3 Pro, S2 and S2 Pro on the list of Infinix smartphones that now run on Android 7.0 Nougat, and becomes the sixth out of the seven in the earlier-released list to get the promised update. Dear Infinix Mobility, we Hot S users are still waiting for our own update o!

Android 7.0 Nougat OS keeps growing since it was released in August 2016, and is now used on 45% of Android smartphones in the world. Although, the number is still less compared to Android 6.0 Marshmallow that is running on 31.2% Android devices.

Rumours flying around after the release of Android 7.0 Nougat OS upgrade on the two latest Infinix smartphones – Infinix S2 & S2 Pro in March have been that Infinix will soon be releasing updates for other phones in coming weeks. Phones listed to be receiving these updates include Infinix Zero 4 and its counterpart the Zero 4 Plus, 2015 Zero 3, Infinix Note 3 (already gotten beta version) as well as Infinix Hot 4, Hot 4 Pro, Hot S and Hot S Pro.

A few days ago, we received another report claiming that the update was being worked on, but only two phones were mentioned – the Infinix Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus. This same report added that these two phones could receive the Android Nougat treat beginning mid-April, which is just a few days from now.

According to a new report posted on the official Infinix Mobility forum, it has now been confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat OS will be available for quite a good number of Infinix smartphones. Top on the list are the company’s current flagships – the Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus, followed by Infinix Hot 4, Hot 4 Pro as well as Infinix Hot S – but there’s no room for the 2015 Infinix Zero 3. Those using the Infinix Note 3 had already gotten the beta version update, though the Pro version of the latter model has not been included on the list, we still expect to see Android 7.0 Nougat hitting this phone. The obvious thing about this list is that it contains only the smartphones released by Infinix Mobility in 2016. Infinix Note 3 and Note 3 Pro users are already enjoying a beta version of Android 7.0 Nougat. If you are Note 3 or Note 3 Pro user and doesn’t know how to upgrade to the new Android OS version, check out this tutorial, and when the stable version of the update finally rolls out, the two smartphones will be updated along with the others in the list. Here is the schedule Of the Release

Stable Android 7.0 Nougat OS will start rolling out on Infinix Zero 4 and Infinix Note 3 by the end of April. On the other hand, the update for Infinix Zero 4 Plus will be available for download as from 25 th of May, but this will only be a beta version meant for testing. Infinix Mobility will then roll out the second beta on 15 th June and starting 15 th July; the stable version will be released to all users of the Zero 4 Plus.

The Infinix Hot 4 Pro will receive its update to Nougat on 30 th April like the Zero 4 Plus, and then followed by a second beta on 20 th May, and the stable version will start rolling out from 5 th June. The Infinix RD Team has confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat will be available for the Infinix Hot S, but the official dates will be confirmed soon. Keep following us, and we’ll update you on when this will be happening.

Android 7.0 Nougat has been out since August 2016, but a very small percentage of all the smartphones in the world are running the latest version of the OS. Up till the end of last year, only the two new Google phones, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL were running Nougat, and new flagship smartphones this year came running on it, as well as old flagship smartphones updated. For my fellow Infinix fans out there (I use a Hot S 😉 ) who have been anticipating this new OS, particularly with the availability of Google Assistant to all Marshmallow smartphones, your time to rejoice is here; seven (7) Infinix smartphones are getting an update to Android 7.0 Nougat very soon!

Early last month, Infinix Mobility started testing Android Nougat on its Note 3 series ( Infinix Note 3 & Note 3 Pro). Now, a list of seven Infinix smartphones that would be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat has shown up. Infinix Smartphones receiving Android 7.0 Nougat

What I observed about this list is that it contains only all the smartphones released by Infinix Mobility in 2016. Infinix Note 3 and Note 3 Pro users are already enjoying a beta version of Android 7.0 Nougat (we’ll share how to do this in a tutorial later, and when the stable version of the update finally rolls out, the two smartphones will be updated along with the others in the list.
